EXPLORING NATURE SESSIONS
Geared toward individuals, home-schoolers, Moms clubs,
4-H groups, scouts, pre-schools and day cares.
The following sessions are offered, on a rotating basis year-round. Each session consists of a 2 hour nature program, outdoors and in the activity barn. For ages 2-12, $10. Choose morning 10am to noon, or afternoon 12:30-2:30. Call at least one day in advance to reserve a space since class size is limited.
Session 1: Foliage Quest – Learning Leaves, Trees and Plants
Session 2: Farm Favorites – Animals and Gardening
Session 3: Local Wildlife Habitats – Just What Does Live Out There?
Session 4: Beaks and Wings - Bird Surveillance
Session 5: Insects, Butterflies, and Spiders – The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Attention Scouts and Schools: We will customize a nature program to the topic you are studying in order to complement your program and enhance your course of study.

INTERACTIVE EXPLORING NATURE SESSIONS
Geared toward elementary school field trips, children ages 5-12.
Choose your 2 ½ hour time frame. Choose session from list on left or let us provide a custom nature program to fit in with your current course of study. Each session consists of a 2 ½ hour nature program, outdoors and in the activity barn. $10 per student, chaperones free. Bag lunches can be provided at $6 additional per child.

Children's 'Drop-In' Programs
“Nature Storytime and Exploration”
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10-11 am.
One Hour Session for ages 1-7
$3 per child (infants and caregivers free)
“Discover Nature Walks”
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 11-12 am.
One Hour Session for ages 1-7
$3 per child (infants and caregivers free)

About Our Children's Field Trips & Programs
Director and Program Creator, Linda Grinthal, has experience as an educator from her experience home-schooling her first two children through five grade levels, and through her past active participation in the Sussex County Christian Homeschool Association, teaching home-schoolers specialty courses of Spanish, Italian and Harmonica.
Classes, groups, and home-schoolers visiting the Destination…COUNTRY! outdoor classroom and farm can expect to participate in square-dance lessons, a guided interpretive wooded nature walk, gardening activities, creating a nature craft, playing in the nature playground and feeding the farm animals. Special interest learning can be included, such as tree identification, six parts of a plant, edible herb growing, organic farming and natural foods, beneficial insects, caring for animals, canning produce, and more.
